Ghostwritten is a pet project of mine that I’ve been working on off and on over my college years. It was born for my fascination with the folklore surrounding ghosts in different cultures, my love of nature and taxonomy, and my nostalgia for stories I grew up reading about kids getting thrown in the deep end of a world too large for them to comprehend.
The story follows Psyche, a young girl who stumbles across the Tome of the Dead, accidentally left behind by a (yes, a, not the) grim reaper. Opening up the book is like opening Pandora’s Box. She releases all the spirits gathered inside, and now, with the help of a chaotic spirit of a ghost hunter named Gheist, she must track down all the ghosts, classify them, and return them to the book before the afterlife bureaucracy tracks her down.
