Characters in order:

Gheist – Spirit of a deceased ghost hunter, Psyche’s companion in her adventures.
Psyche Romero – Our heroine, a middle schooler who stumbled upon the Book of the Dead.
Rebecca “Becc” Moore – Psyche’s childhood friend, a bit rough and tumble. May be involved in the town cult?
Latanya Romero – Psyche’s mom. She has a paranormal podcast about their town but (for now) isn’t aware of Psyche’s ghostly predicament.
Joseph “Seph” Walker – Seph, a former writer and photographer for a fake supernatural magazine, was fired after publishing a photo of a real poltergeist. Jobless, he returned to Lichfield, working as a graveyard keeper, and eventually began dating Latanya
Helen Watt – Seph’s old editor who fired him. She has become deeply involved in the supernatural when The Watcher did not reap her soul when they should have. She wants the Book of the Dead from Psyche.
The Watcher – The grim reaper who lost the Book of the Dead and now is trying to hunt Psyche down to get the Book of the Dead back before the Afterlife Bureaucracy finds out he lost the book and the souls escaped.
